So my dad is trying to get my computer connected to the TV with a VGA cable. But the video shows but the sound does not come out from the TV. But the sound does come out of my computer. Do you guys know how to have the sound come out of the TV with a VGA cable connecting to my computer?

VGA cables don't transmit the Audio.
You will need a male to male audio jack.
Check ebay there should be some on there.

Yea VGA's only carry a video output so you need either what hawk said or a speaker set that you can plug into your pc directly. My grandmother has a nice seven speaker suround sound set. Pretty freakin legit. Way better than the speakers on a tv.

Just an fyi, i actually have the same setup as you, my computer, consoles and tv all run one tv as a monitor/tv. I do use seperate speakers, a two speaker set for my pc and the tv's speakers for console/tv.

I Male-Male audio jack is a lot cheaper then a speaker set.
