Windows 8 may have bad UI, but they've improved its performance.
My friend's got a Celeron laptop, and he used the consumer preview, it worked so good, the boot, the read-write speed and all that.

I hardly use the start menu, I don't think it would affect me much.
But it goes to show for the majority, the OS is the UI.
And also how people are tied to the Windows interface, even some change in the same operating system has caused so much of a deal. I wonder what will happen when people begin their move to Linux distros.:D

Sincerely I think Windows 8 is a sh*t. The price for me not is justified, the interface for me isn't nice; for me "W8" is more for tablets. Maybe the stupids of Windows want sell this OS at this price for that reason. Because for good functions isn't.

I always prefer use WIN XP, but is almost obsolete, so now I use W7, for me is very functional and most programs are compatible.
