Does anyone know exactly how to stop DDos attacks? I have ping spikes and constant disconnects to the ts which no one else was getting. Speedtest graphs were up and down and all over the place. My internet went nuts. DDos attack? For future reference, does anyone know how to mitigate without spending money on mitigation software?

Call your provider and ask them why they are giving such shitty internet :D, jk, ask them why it is happening to you. they might help u

No offence to any Indians in the clan, but the only service I get from my ISP are a bunch of broken record Indian people who do not understand the words 'customer service' in any circumstances. They literally say the same thing over and over. I have basically memorised what they are saying. Thankfully it stopped after changing IP and what not. But still. >.<

Get TCPView, check what IP is doing it and block the IP. That's what I did when my own ISP decided to DOS me XD

I doubt your getting ddosed. Ddos would mean that you get alot of packet loss and then lose internet.
Also, why would anybody dos you frequently but for like 30 seconds?
These days, everybody seems to think that getting disconnected means they are getting dosed. -_-
More than likely your net is just dropping(ISP problem) or computer/cable problem.

It was continuous for like 1.5 hours or so. I couldn't use my net earlier, I made the post after the attacks seemed to have stopped.

Is your IP dynamic or static?
Few people are ddosed for 1.5 hrs. I feel your ISP is the one letting you down. I have had such problems before, but obviously my situation was much different from yours.

there only 1.5 hours? Naw, your not getting DDoSed phoenix. Ive been DDosed numerous times by pirate when he was here (for having a big mouth xD ) and it lasts more like several hours, maybe 4 or 5. One of the times i lost internet for the rest of the night. I'd agree with vader, its probably just shitty internet.
