Hi Guys ,
have upgraded to a new computer :BaNaNa: . Unfortuanetly I can not find my old Halo and Halo CE discs ,
( too many kids and computers ) . They'll turn up eventually , but I'm buggered if I'll wait till then .

So what do I need to purchase , to get back to Halo CE , and updated with everything currently available .

Can I download all I need , or do I need hard copies ?

You can download the installers from interwebz...but i would recommend you to buy the keys. Although you can get a free one just with googling, most of the cracked cd keys are banned. In so many servers

I'm not interested in any cracked stuff .

Can I buy the keys from interwebz ?

I transfered the files from my old Comp.but of course it said I needed my old keys .
It doesn't matter though, as I need to upgrade the game / maps anyway .

I'll go and have a look at interwebz .

Last time I checked amazon was selling halo combat evolved for pc for like 5-10 bucks. That's where I got my copies of it.

Found a new unopened copy of Halo Combat Evolved, picking it up in a couple of hours .

I thought there was a more updated version , but the more I look on the net , the more I learn .

With a new copy of Halo , and a download of custom edition , is there anything else I'll need ?

just don't forget to open haloupdater on the halo directory before you start playing so it can update to 1.09 and you can play without the disc

It u can download the patch from halomaps.org and run it after u install the game. I believe that is what I did.

Make sure you install Halo PC first then update it by running the haloupdate.exe in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo
Then install HCE and use the HPC key for it and run the update in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition

There are some mods that you can get that allows you to bookmark servers, keep a track of you're kills and kill streaks.

I'm up and running , 135 ks round trip , but it was worth it .
