U just unlock the icon I believe. He had the badge before the icon came out anyways.

You can get all of the badges, the rarest one will display in your loading screen.
The order goes like: Yellow > Blue > Green > Red
I have all of them except for Blue.
Not sure about Yellow / Blue, can anyone confirm this?
