Forgot to mention this only applies to Australian residents or those from a Commonwealth Supported Place. You also have the option to pay it all upfront if you want if you are a resident. Overseas students have to pay everything up front or it stacks up with interest.

It's not a bad idea. People make choices and they make different choices. Some people want to follow that others' have done and some people want to go their own paths.

Well, places where uni is preferred, normally have a very uneducated working class.
The reason being is that people with a lower education can be hard to find because most people go to uni.
That makes business and state hire uneducated people.
