@Ray I have bought that router already... I was asking what modem I should get so as not to bottleneck my new router... My old modem-router limited me at 8mbps down and 0.20mbps up... As for my wireless card... I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter...

edit: the reason behind the high end router is because in my house at one time there are the following devices connected.
Xbox 360 Slim
My laptop
a macbook pro (my mum's)
an iPod Touch 4th
An Android phone

It doesn't matter which modem you get, because the fact that your ISP limited speed will still bottleneck both your router and modem, as to why i've said that a cheaper router will do..
I thought you were asking for input whether you should get that particular router or not....if you wanted a modem as well, you should have looked at the AIO devices that linksys provides.

when i purchased this router i did not know about the fact that it needed a modem... i thought it would have been built in like my last one... as for my ISP they limit it at quite a high cap...

What does your plan say your speeds are capped at?

They don't say what it is capped at but when I rang my ISP they said something like 200mbps up and 200mbps down
